Skiing at Asahikawa

Kamui Ski Links is the closest resort to the city of Asahikawa and its reputation is somewhat more rowdy than that of other Hokkaido resorts. Much of the resort remains ungroomed allowing the keen powder enthusiast to experience the Hokkaido snowfall as it was meant to be. There is superb hot coffee at the top of the gondola.

Asahikawa

Asahikawa is a city of nearly a half million people & is about an hours drive from Furano. It's most notable for its Snow Festival which it celebrates in February of each year. Asahikawa is also the staging area for a number of guided backcountry trips to nearby regional ski areas.
