Rusutsu is about 2 hours from New Chitose airport and, for a long time, was passed by skiers and riders on their way to Niseko. Now many of those skiers & riders don't make it to Niseko opting instead to experience one of Hokkaido's best kept secrets.

Rusutsu is the largest full service resort complex in Hokkaido with two mountains interconnected by a short light-rail system.

The bulk of the resort exists on the North/South site where skiers and riders have ski-in/ski-out access to the mountain and indoor access from more than 800 hotel rooms, 12 Japanese/Chinese/Western restaurants, Japanese tea guesthouse, sports bar, Mongolian BBQ, heated indoor swimming pool & fitness centre, 100-year old merry-go-round and kids games area.

The Tower side of the resort "Eaccessible by light-rail tram'' is a multiple story building offering a variety of room types perfect for couples, families and corporates wanting some separation from the main resort buildings.

The Rusutsu skiing area is made up of three areas East Mountain, West Mountain & Mt. Isola. The two are joined by a series of Gondolas. Your lift pass is valid for both areas. However, please note it does not include night skiing. All the lifts at Rusutsu are hooded lifts.
