It is important to note that unless you choose a direct flight to Sapporo, all your flights to Japan will involve transitting, or over-nighting in either Tokyo or Osaka for a single night before continuing to Sapporo the following day. Many Outdoor Travel Japan clients choose to stop in one of these cities for an extended period of time allowing exploration of the style, culture & tradition of this great country.

Apart from the Japanese carriers, other airlines flying to Chitose airport include Korean Air, Continential Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Sakhalin Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Eva Airways, Qantas Airways, and China Airlines.

It is also possible from most countries to fly into one city (eg. Tokyo) & out of another city (eg. Osaka) without paying any premiums allowing you to take a tour from one city to the next. Please refer to page 9 for a sampling of some of the tours Outdoor Travel Japan is able to arrange if you decide to stop in one of these cities.
